FAQs
Questions parents ask us
Everything about our courses, sessions, credits and payment. Can't find your answer? Message us on WhatsApp.
Courses
Which course should my child take? The monthly course is 8 sessions in 4 weeks, focused on the key topics of the year. It suits children who need to catch up, consolidate or prepare for a test. The yearly programme follows the full year's curriculum at school pace, with more exercises and tutor-led help.
Can my child take both? Yes. The monthly course condenses topics the yearly programme covers in depth, so some content overlaps, and the extra practice helps.
Which curriculum do you follow? The British National Curriculum. We currently teach Years 5, 6, 7 and 8.
When can my child start? Any week. Enrolment is open all year, and your child joins the next session of their year group.
What happens on Saturdays? Saturdays are for special classes, such as crash courses before exams. We announce them on the website and on WhatsApp.
Sessions and credits
When do sessions run? Twice a week on weekdays, 60 minutes each, according to its year groups. Sessions run continuously, so a new cycle of topics is always under way.
How many children are in a group? Up to 10 children, all in the same school year.
How do session credits work? Each monthly course gives you 8 session credits. Every session your child attends uses one credit. Credits are valid for 2 months from payment.
What if my child misses a session? Topics come round again as the sessions cycle, so your child can attend the missed topic in a later session, as long as your credits are still valid. Booking the right session is up to you as the parent. If your child joins a session on a topic they have already covered, we let you know, and staying in it uses a credit.
Are sessions recorded? No. Sessions are never recorded, by us or by anyone in the group.
What does my child need? A laptop or tablet with a camera, a stable internet connection, a notebook, a pencil and a quiet place to work.
Payment
How much do courses cost? The Year 5 monthly course costs 1,000 MAD for 8 sessions, or 125 MAD per session.
How do I pay? By bank transfer. After you reserve, we send our bank details and your reference by email and WhatsApp. Please pay within 48 hours, adding the reference to the transfer.
Do I receive an invoice? Yes. Once we receive your payment, we confirm your child's place and send an invoice from Quirk Academy.
Can I get a refund? You can withdraw within 7 days of payment and receive a full refund, as long as your child has not attended a session yet. After that, payments are not refunded, and your unused sessions stay on your account as credit, valid for 2 months from payment.
Is there a free trial? No, but you can message us on WhatsApp before you reserve. Tell us where your child finds maths hard, and we'll tell you whether the course suits them.
Teachers and privacy
Who teaches the sessions? Quirk Academy's own teachers, all native English speakers who teach the British curriculum.
How will I know how my child is doing? You receive a progress email every two weeks: topics covered, exercises completed, scores, and where the teacher sees your child struggling.
After the course
What can my child do after the monthly course? Take another monthly course, move to the yearly programme, or join a Saturday crash course before exams.
